NYC SHow - Just got back! Lindsey's Special Treat...

OK, I haven't posted on the LEdge in FOREVER (YEARS!) - but a lot of you may know me from Enchanted. Just got back from Lindsey's show...it was amazing!! I really liked the new spins he put on the old songs (I'm So Afraid, a slower tempo TUSK) THe setlist is the same as the other shows. Totally loved his growling at the end of Holiday Road!!

Ok, so here's where the special treat came in...the encore...he did my favorite song...SAVE ME A PLACE. I have to say I went to the show with the intent of screaming "SAVe Me a Place" until Lindsey gave in (it worked for me at the SOUNDSTAGE taping!! lol). So halfway through it was really quiet and some guy yelled out "Not that Funny" (lindsey laughed) so I figured what the heck...I screamed "Save Me a Place!" And at first, he looked over at the guys and was like "Can we do this? Uh oh - THey are shaking their heads.." and he was laughing. Then, a few songs later, more people start screaming out SMAP (I was elated!!) and he said "We'll do it for the encore..." WHOOOOO!

I have to say, it was well worth the wait. It sounded AMAZING. I have some great video footage of Lindsey trying to teach the band (in like 20 seconds) how to play the song...it was hysterical. I think Neil Heywood has done the song a few times (hee hee) b/c he did a small guitar solo and Lindsey was beaming. I think they were all impressed how it came together so quickly. ANyway, thanks for letting come out of the blue to post about a great show.
