As we know, a lot of the Mac's biggest and most iconic songs (things like Rhiannon, The Chain, Gold Dust Woman, Landslide, I'm So Afraid) were released at a time when the music video was not a big media format. Also a lot of songs just simply didn't have videos, like Sara, Sister of the Moon, etc etc.
So my question to you is - if you had been in charge of making any of these videos, what would you have put in them? What would the images be, what would the atmosphere be? No, you can't pick a live performance that's already out there (Midnight Special Rhiannon or SOTM live in 82 for example) and no Say You Will types - the band performing the song in a studio or stage setting. They can be the big hits or the songs that were never realeased as singles. A new idea for a video that was already made? The idea struck me last week and I'm really curious to know people's thoughts on the songs I mentioned above, and also ones like Caroline and Tango in the Night. Discuss! |
