Why does everyone say Lindsey Buckingham IS Fleetwood Mac?

I will admit that Lindsey brought to the table, a certain edge, which I do appreciate. All the Rumours drama, that they still milk, while approaching their senior-citizen years!, has greatly diluted their value, IMO, to the history of FM.
Still milking this, screams that they're simply money whores now, NOT to be confused with STILL being artists.
FWIW, Mick and Stevie are my least favorites, too.

BT is my second favorite, after MTM. Then FG.
