I noticed an instaneous differnece from my female friends, like they sudenly "got" me. Women who previously didn't seem to like me much, suddenly opened up and inlcded me. I think several of my friends who grew up in Calif had felt oppressed by the tyranny of blondness in Southern Calif. and a few of them admitted that they had trouble relating to me before. It made a little sad. there is no way for me to know if my attitude changed, and then my itneractions changed or not.
When the red faded, it left my hair an uninteresting shade of brown (not a pretty brown) so I made it more red - on and on until I had a sort oburgundy bright auburn purple shade that I really loved. I wore more makeup dressed up more, and became addicted to red, It was a lot of work to keep it up, and after 8 yearws of mixing Manic Panic,I finally let it grow out, and returned to my blonde, which is lighter than I remember (probably some white in there now) and I haven't noticed how people react to it, as I don't care anymore. Sometimnes, I miss that dramatic witchy color though. I should buy a new wig!

that's interesting.
I put henna on my hair once and it made it so brittle and fried. I may have done it wrong, but it was harsh on my hair.
