Pathetic and self indulgent post here

About a year after we broke up, the first guy I dated called me and said he missed me and wanted to spend time together again... just as friends.
I still had some feelings for him and knew it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do, but I missed him too, so I agreed.

Well, hanging out and talking about "the good ol' times" led to us sleeping together again... which was fun in the moment, but was definitely dumb to do given the lingering feelings.

Luckily enough though, it helped me find closure because it reminded me of why we weren't right for each other to begin with (I was into him, and he was into him), and why we could never go the distance (communication was not the strongest area in our relationship).

So, Brandon, I guess you just have to consider whether or not seeing your ex-girlfriend again will help you find closure on the relationship so you can focus on the friendship side of it, or if it'll just make it more difficult to move on.
Sometimes we need to see them again to find it, and other times we need to just walk away forever.
