Default Our city is full to the limit.

It's another New Orleans thread so please don't flip out... I haven't posted in a week or so.. I don't want to sift through all the hurricane threads..
I apologize.
Moving on.
I live in Texas on the Louisiana border... and it's insane in my little town.
These poor people are everywhere.. we talked to groups of people who are sleeping 20 to a hotel room! My friends and I have packed some people into a hotel room but 20? ! I just can't wrap my head around that... Well anywho... this particular group was just hanging out in the Walgreens parking lot.. cause they're bored insane... poor little kids just running around free as a fritter.. seriously...
don't worry.. we're taking care of them... donations are flowing freely.. and yesterday when my mom sent her vegetarian daughter to chicken express I saw a massive bbq being set up at the ramada inn parking lot.
did you know that the red cross will not take anything but money now?... the first couple days they took anything and everything.... ecspecially diapers! (by the way I think they are still taking diapers so if anyone has some leftovers (prefferabley unused) I think you can still send them to the red cross).. well the red cross might not take clothes and toys, but my friends at the ramada inn sure the hell are...
well i guess the point of this post is to kind of spread the word about those who are being taken care of.. ya dig? kind of a ray of hope.. so to speak.. you flip on the tv and you hope to catch a glimpse of one of these poor people smiling ya dig? well i tell you what... their were some happy people at the bbq yesterday...
just spreadin the word...
for those of us who live off of coffee... you better go stock up.. cause new orleans distributed 50 percent of america's coffee... it's about to sky rocket.
eeeh.

Much Love
Ciao!
Ash

I really want to ask a question too... rumours(love that album) have it, that the majority of the people from these soaked states are going to start a new life in Texas.. basically where they are right now.. ya dig?.. what does this mean for Texas? our taxes? wel fare?
is this a selfish question?
I'm a college student who's barely makin it.. If I lose anymore weight I won't survive the winter.
