Taking a survey in another thread on the BN board, gave me the idea to start a topic on some real life ghost stories...things that have actually happened to you.
I, completely believe in ghosts/spirits. Although I have never seen one, I have felt and/or heard them around me. Here are a few examples... In our old house, that we lived in for about 4 years...we totally believe it was haunted. Downstairs, in the back room, you could hear the running water go down through the walls whenever someone flushed the toilet. Well, their would be times when it was just my mom and me home, and we'd hear the toilet flush, then the lid would slam down. It was if the spirit was letting us know that they didn't like the toilet seat being kept up... Another time happened when I was about 11. My cousin, who was about 6 at the time, was staying the night at my house. Everyone (mom, stepdad, and little brother) was camped out in the living room downstairs sleeping. Katarina (my cousin) and me decided to go upstairs in the empty master bedroom. We had just moved in, so not everything was unpacked yet.( To get the whole visual...our stairs are wooden. They go up about 12 steps, then their is a landing with a closet...turn to the right and then their is 3 more steps...) Ok...so Katarina and me, were sitting in the empty room, with the door closed. All the lights were out upstairs, except for the room we were in. So we're sitting there innocently playing the Draw on your back game...It is completely silent...All of a sudden we hear footsteps come from the stairway closet. We ignore it at first...but it just gets louder. We hear them approach the door to the bedroom, and just stand there. We were terrified that something was just going to open that door and get us or something. After a about 15 seconds...we hear the footsteps move on to my room...They never came out. Less than a minute after all of this happened...Katarina and I darted out of the room and down the stairs. I never looked back. Now you may be thinking...well, it could have been one of her parents or her brother trying to scare her...well, it wasn't. We were downstairs before those footsteps had a chance to move anywhere else. And my parents and brother were still down there fast alseep. In fact, they woke up when Katarina and me made all the racket bounding down the stairs. That was my most scary moment. Another one, that is the most believable...because I seen it with my own eyes...was when my friend Kortnee and I, were sitting on my couch in the living room just talking away...and we have those one kind of huge blinds that have the metal string thing and you pull and they open-sliding across the whole window...they're usually in hotels and stuff...anyways, the couch is right in front of them, and all of the windows and doors were shut, so their was no breeze. All of a sudden, the blinds move in one motion, like someone swept their hand across. It was so fast...at the end of the blinds is our air conditioner. Well, after the "spirit" had flew by the blinds, it ran right into the air conditioner. I know that because their was a huge BAM! I literally almost **** my pants. lol. Scared the crap out me. When we moved...we were cleaning out our attic...my stepdad had lost his collection of guitar picks in there somewhere, so we were basically tearing out all of the insulation. Well, buried deep in it, we found an old old frame containing a picture of a man in his early teens maybe? The picture was covered in beebee gun holes though. Someone obviously didn't like him...From then on, I've always believed that the man in the picture, could have been the one haunting our house. There are more stories from this one house...but I think that is enough for now. Anyone got any to share?
