Regarding the thread topic:
Too much of Stevie's bread and butter, her die-hards, are tired of her set list and still paying off expensive seats from recent tours, and they had to buy these seats from brokers. Casual fans are either unaware of the tour, are turned off by the prices, or are unaware that she still puts out good (or any) new solo music. POTU was #1 on the dance charts, but nobody I know outside these boards would believe that. People who find out I'm a fan ask me if she's still with Fleetwood Mac and they are surprised to hear that she has had a solo album in the last ten years, let alone that it charted. Casual fans think her solo career is Edge, Stand Back, If Anyone Falls, and Leather And Lace, and that's it. When Stevie's best solo songs of the last ten or fifteen years don't get airplay, when Entertainment Tonight profiles Katie Holmes the Scientologist rather than Stevie the singer, it's very doubtful that new folks are going to be inspired to risk money on tickets. Many of these casual fans would otherwise be brought in by the diehards, but like I said, many of the die-hards are sitting out. - Jake
