Default My Mansfield Review

Well, we got to Mansfield at around 6. Instead of parking in the lot, we parked in some crazy hicks yard who was letting people park there for 20 bucks. This guy is the man we park there every time we come to the tweeter center. So while my mom and aunts were getting boozed up I walked to Cumberland Farms and bought a cheap digital camera.
Walking into the tweeter was cool, lots of Stevie fans. We stood aorund for a while because we were waiting for people to come meet us. My seat was in section 1 row G (second row). I get down there and plant myself in the only seat left in section row. Then this jackass next to me goes, that’s not your seat someone is sitting there. So I bust out the ticket and show this idiot and he goes, that’s not a ticket that’s a photocopy(ticketfast). So he calls the woman over and she says to me your in the wrong seat your in the first row not second. So I’m amazed and my parents are looking at me like, you lucky SOB. So I plant myself right next to Tina (teedee). Anxiously await the set.

DONS SET- Very very good! I was expecting a lot worse. I did like the opener unlike most other people. His whole set rocked. When Stevie walked out the place went wild. She came out with the platforms on and the pants. She was lookin hot. And I mean hot, her skin is so healthy. She sang so great on his songs. His whole set was very nice.

Ok so were waiting for Stevie and some guy came up to our row and said, do you guys know edge of 17 (he worked at the place), well know it well, Stevie wants you to run up to the stage during it. So everyone is excited.

Outside the Rain- I go crazy because I absolutley love this song live. It is one of my favorite songs to see live ever. She walks out waves to everyone, starts the song. Great energy at the end, belted out that last note.

Dreams- She did the little hula thing, Dreams was actually really good, Jana and Sharon seemed pissed during these songs.

Rhiannon – Piano intro, everyone sat down, when she started the song everyone was up again. She had the rhiannon wings on and sang it great. She hit the end note a little safer but she was definitley saving it for later.

Enchanted- The crowd seemed really into this one, everyone was up and dancing. She sang this great, did a few twirls and was really into the ending. Wooh wooh wooh I hope you make it.

Gold Dust Woman- Awesome version! The guy next to me was a Henley fan so when they walked out the guy went nuts. Henley sang the first line instead of Stevie. They were also late coming out on this one. Stevie hit the “go hoooooooome” part and it was great. They slow danced at the end and Henley was sooooooo happy, he was almost laughing. I don’t think he is used to this kind of stuff on stage, but I was happy when he smiled it was very nice.

Stop Draggin My Heart Around- A favorite of mine to see live. I yelled a lot during this one because I fell in love with it on the TISL tour. Don’t know why but I love it.

Circle Dance- Que everyone sitting. It was kind of stinky that everyone sat because it was a very nice song. It was shorter than I thought. Stevie said Don henleys name at the end of this and stop draggin. Then she introed the band, same ole stuff as the previous shows.

Stand Back- Ok I see this couple making their way down, now the security guard said no edge of 17, so of course security being idiots they thought it was edge of seventeen. They fold up their chairs and then I BOOK it to the stage. Cut off the guy that had sassed me earlier, and put myself right on the stage a little to the left of carlos. PERFECT! At this point I am shocked. I take out the camera and start snapping away. She twirled during the middle and they showed the twirls from LIB on the screen. I took a picture of the kick, we’ll see how it turned out. She hit all the notes on this perfectly.

Beauty and the Beast- This was amazing. She did not play it safe. She hit every note. It was wonderful. The chick next to me was in tears and my aunt was amazed even while she was intoxicated. It was trule amazing. I think her earring fell off during this because I saw it like clinging to the necklace. The movie to this was great. She really put 100% into this!!! I took a few pics, but tried to enjoy it. Sharon looked like she was having trouble here. You should have seen her face trying to bust out the notes. I thought she was going to freeze her face.

Edge of 17- This was it! The highlight of the night. Ive never heard a better performance of this song. The yell was great and I took a lot of pics during this song. She shook a ton of hands including mine. She grabbed both of mine and I felt her white dress, by accident. It was still wonderful. Then came the real highlight, the end. Waddy and Carlos’ jaws dropped when she sang these lyrics. “I know what it sounds like, I really know what it sounds like, it sounds like you”. Sharon and Jana were also taking notice of this one. It was wonderful.

Leather and Lace- They came back out, I got pretty bored just because I never liked the song, so I got some interaction with Brett Tuggle, who is the man. Took a few pics, great great blah blah he took the lace whatever.

So im waiting for SYWBARARS. Lights come up. Im looking aorund like CMON THERES ONE MORE! Nope Henley waited to long to come out. Damnit!

Oh well!

It was so fun! I am going to both borgota shows for my birthday and after seeing this I truly cannot wait!

If Anyone can get there hands on a dvd or audio of the show I will trade PM me for my list!

Jimmy
