Craig T Nelson on a FM record?

I was watching the "Osterman weekend" DVD extras the other night and actor Craig T Nelson talks about when he got the part he plays in that movie (around 1982-83 presumably) and how he had "just finished working on a Fleetwood Mac record". I checked the "Mirage" liner notes etc. and couldn't find anything about this. Does anyone here know what record he was on and/or what he did on it? No biggie, just curious is all, thanks in advance.
