Need Help Coverting WAV to Media Player

I recorded some sound on my digital camera and I am now trying to put the file on my PC and I can't. I copied it but it was copied as a WAV file and my Musicmatch does not play it. My Windows media player will play the wav file but only after I just hook the camera up and it will not let me copy the file.

Can anyone help me? This is the first time that I have done this.
