As far as Fundamendalists calling Catholics names, etc. ... I believe you have several choices when someone calls you a name or criticizes you. You can gently rebuke and explain your position (like the book of Hebrews says), or you can fold and walk away.

Naturally. I tend to rebuke though...

Reminds me of the old joke about St. Peter telling people of other denominations, when allowing them admittance into Heaven... "just keep your voices down -- the Catholics are on the other side, and they think they're the only ones here."

I love jokes like that! It's fun to laugh at yourself sometimes.

BTW - the Catholic Church is fascinating to me - can ya tell

Have you ever read Julius Exclusus? It's one of my favorites. Erasmus was a pretty hilarious guy when he wanted to be. I find Church history fascinating as well.

BTW- Thanks to everyone for keeping this civil. I know the Church has wronged many people and there is a crisis happening right now, but if the faithful remain and bigotry is crushed inside and out (hence "Ecrasez l'infame") I have hope that all of us can get along and one day be happy in the end...whether you believe in heaven or not.
