Lindsey's influences on his records
I was just thinking today how many of Lindsey's albums appear to have a certain musical influence shaping the material. For example:
Tusk - punk/Talking Heads etc Law & Order - his dad's old 45s/music from the 40s & 50s Go Insane - Laurie Anderson/Fairlight sampling I'm not so sure about Out Of The Cradle, but I know he wanted to make that album more guitar orientated but was also influenced by older music or standards... Am I completely off track here or can this be applied to any of his other albums? If I am right, maybe I should send Lindsey some cool albums to help influence the direction of his next LP... I wonder what I should send him hmmm
