Default Calgary Show

Alrighty! It was so awesome! I was up on the second level, but I still had a really good view of the stage. I was on Lindsey's side.

I never thought that the stupidest FM fans would go to a FM concert...but I think I sat in the I'm-a-complete-idiot section!

While we were waiting for the show to start and woman behind me said to her husband(?) "They're new album is called The Dance"

They started at about 8:15, and I had some rowdy, drunk, and possibly high people sitting behind me who were yelling "Let them trip! We got here on time." They also said "The whole band is f*cking crazy"

Oooooooooooooookay. I was just happy to be there.

Everyone went nuts during The Chain But after The Chain the rowdy, drunk, high guy yelled "Where's Christine!?" Argh! I agree with whoever said they liked EOTW better than IKINW. Of course, I never actually saw a show with EOTW so LIB might not be exactly acturate...

Lindsey seemed to have a little trouble vocally during Peacekeeper and SHN. He wasn't going for the high notes on Peacekeeper and on SHN it seemed like he just lost where he was for a minute and Stevie covered for him.

If my ears aren't playing tricks on me I think they changed the key on SYW to F#? Maybe they did this a long time ago and I just didn't read it on the other reviews.

NGBA was great. He got reallllllly quiet during the "You don't know what it means to win..." bit. It was awesome and the crowd loved it.

Rhiannon was kick @$$! Again the crowd went nuts. Next of course was Come and people got Come Syndrom and went for a pee break. I kept thinking "No...don't leave! Sara is next! You don't want to miss Sara!" By the end of Lindsey's guitar solo though everyone was going nuts.

And then there was Sara... I loved it! It was quite inspiring actually. Stevie looks so cute with her hair up like that. My friend and I made shirts with a picture of her from the Tusk doc on them and "I wanna be a star" on the front and "I don't wanna be a cleaning lady" on the back. One person actually asked me where I got them, which was probably the closest I was gonna get to someone actually getting it. The best part was when they played the video from the Tusk doc, but it was hard to decide what to look at.

After Big Love people in the front row were bowing to Lindsey. It was funny. Were any of you guys there cuz they seemed like hard core fans. They even had a banner that I think said Fleetwood Mac with penguins on it.

I had a feeling that the Landslide dedication would be slightly corny. I thought she might dedicate it to The Clagary Flames for uh...almost winning the Stanley Cup. I was close. She said "Just imagine...this time tomorrow this place will be full of rodeo people" which was followed by a lot of yahoos. I live in Alberta...we're a bunch of hicks. But uh....you see, the rodeo is actually outside. At least she dedicated it to the Calgary Stampede, and not the dog show that will actually be in the Saddledome.

In Lindsey's speach before SG he actually said that he wrote SG about Stevie which made me happy. I would have been happier is Stevie had been like "I wrote Sara about __________", but you can't win them all.

I like Red Rover live. It seems to lose a bit of it's strange studio negativity, if it can be described that way. Of course, after RR, the rowdy, drunk, high guy behind me yelled "Get back to what we paid for!" to which I wish I had replied "Uh...I paid for this! I don't know what you paid for but if you'd like to hear Rumours, you home and listen to it!!!"

Beautiful Child was gorgeous, and I was glad to hear Carlos' guitar part. You can see him rocking out on LIB, but I for one can't hear anything.

GDW kicked! At the end Stevie was hidding at her mike behind her hands and kept singing "Runnin through the shadows"(?...I think), and then took the pose. ISA was great too. I actually don't remember anything specific about it...but it was awesome!

Lindsey was throwing his guitars a lot...again something you don't see on LIB more than once or twice. Every time he'd throw a guitar my mom would be like "ahhhh!".

Lindsey went completely ape during Tusk. Actually I think he went bull first and Stevie was the bull fighter! I was hoping for a bit more of a boxing match before they started hugging but whatever. By the end he was hoping around like a monkey making inaduible noise. Oh and he did the "real savage-like" part but it took me a minute to realize he did it.

Stand Back was great. GYOW started and of course, the Rumours loving crowd went crazy. The break between that and encore went on for what seemed like a long time. Everybody's lighters came out...it was cool.

Mick's act during World Turning was just funny. Me and my friend just kept laughing. It's definitely mob rule if an entire crowd is yelling yes to "hanky panky" with Mick. *shudder*

Don't Stop was lots of fun, and again inspiring for me. All the baby boomers were dancing, but luckily none in front of me because I was tired and didn't want to get up.

People started leaving after DS and I was like "Wait! They're not done!" GB was beautiful. That song has really grown on me. Mick was wearing his red hat.

Anyways...I had a great time. Was anyone else from The Ledge there??? This is probably unlikely, but if anyone has a bootlegg, I would appreciate it. Let me know!
