I think Stevie was going along with 80's music culture, in terms of her sound, yet still keeping that Stevie-esque sound to her solo stuff.
Belladonna is VERY country-fied...it's got an Old West, saloon sound almost to it. Which is why I like it and it's my fave solo of hers. Wild Heart is her in limbo between that Belladonna sound and a new 80's synth sound (Stand Back). She broke WAY away from the early sound to a New Wave almost techno-ish, synth sound with Rock a Little OSOTM is difficult to categorize. It's got a "ghosty" feel. LOL I don't like most of the songs. Rooms on Fire and Long Way to Go are the only two I really like and I rarely listen to this one. I Still Miss Someone is one of the WORST songs I've EVER heard in my LIFE. I'd rather listen to When I See You Again and Silver Girl ad nauseum!! LOL
