Still collecting my thoughts because it was SUCH a wonderful show. My friend Crispy (not her real name ) picked me up at the airport and we had just enough time to scarf some food and then head to the venue.

I ended up splurging on both the Scarlet Wild Heart tee and the Blue Tambourine tee. I also got a keychain for myself and a few more for friends back home. I wish she would have made a tourbook for this, though, because I adore collecting them from my favorite artists, Stevie especially. So that sucked.

We had 10th row floor seats and had a great view of the middle of the stage. The Pretenders were EXCELLENT! They were ON FIRE and Chrissie was having a blast.

The thing that really got to me with this show more than any other Stevie show I've attended was the energy...from both Stevie fans and Pretenders fans alike. It was electric and everyone around us was on their feet the entire time. Like I stated in another thread, the applause was thunderous with EVERY song, even the new 24KG songs and the obscure ones that casual fans might not know about like "Annabelle Lee" and "Crying In The Night".

Definitely the highlights were "Wild Heart", "Bella Donna", "Belle Fleur", "Crying In The Night" and "If You Were My Love". I also believe this is the first time she's done an arena tour where they had a HUGE budget for screens, lights, moving props and special effects. I was half expecting to see some sort of pyrotechnics but alas there was none. It is, after all, Stevie Nicks and not Coldplay or U2.

But the song that got me, my special moment, HANDS DOWN was "Moonlight". The new arrangement presented it as a ballad more than the mid tempo pop version that the album gives us. I LOVED IT! The backdrop. The falling stars. The snow. Her ensemble. HER VOICE, especially. I cried and I cried HARD. It was a little embarrassing as I've never let my emotions get the better of me in such a hardcore way...at least in a public setting, that is.

After the show, we met up with some of her friends at a bar and drank and danced the night away. I was on cloud nine. STILL AM! I think I maybe got 3 hours of real sleep before I had to catch a 7am flight home. I've spent most of the day recuperating and reliving last night with her music.

...and I get to do it ALL OVER AGAIN tomorrow!
