Who agrees with me that it's a travesty that this album hasn't gotten the deluxe treatment yet?
I know the album was basically recorded in a couple of months, right? I'm not sure how many songs were recorded and if there would be enough outtakes or alternates to warrant a second disc. Does anyone out there know much about these sessions? I remember reading somewhere that Lindsey had quite a few songs that weren't used. I also remember an interview with Stevie where she said that "Sorcerer" almost went on the first Fleetwood Mac record that she was involved with, but was scrapped in favor of "Rhiannon". Christine has gone on record stating that at the time she really only sat down and wrote songs when she knew they were going to be recording a new album, so I'm not sure if she would have any outtakes either. The 2004 remastered edition, as we all know, is kind of lackluster - It merely boasts the "single versions" of everything and then one jam session. It's also quite possible, since the band wasn't at the height of their popularity at the time, that anything leftover was either tossed or lost. ![]() What do you guys think? |
