I think it's about time we faced up to the reality that the chances of a new Fleetwood Mac album are slim to none. Many fans will remember Lindsey Buckingham talking about putting out a new Fleetwood Mac album after the 2009 tour. Obviously that never eventuated.
I don't know if any other Ledgies realise this, but Fleetwood Mac is very unlikely to make much money from the sales of a new album. I think realistically the best they can hope for is Gold sales status. Look at Say You Will, it's taken eleven years for it to reach Platinum sales status (or close to it). From the band's point of view, they can make much more money from touring. If they were serious about wanting to release a new album, then why not include two new songs in the current tour set list? I don't know about anyone else but it drives me crazy hearing from the media that there are new Fleetwood Mac songs and knowing that I'm unlikely to ever hear them. Why haven't they included Too Far Gone or How I Feel or Carnival Begin or Red Sun in the set? I don't think the band would release an album without Stevie songs on it and as she appears to have no interest in working in the studio with the band: The best we can hope for is a new solo Lindsey album and a new solo Christine album.
