Hi guyz,
I didnt know where to post this thread, and youll undrestand why if you read this. lol I love Stevie's "Sorceror" of her TISL album, but noticed that it was from all the way back in 1972! This got me thinking about what the song was written for... Stevie joined FM around about this era didnt she? So is it possible that she composed Sorceror for use on a FM album? I think it would have worked fanastically as an FM song..and i would love to hear FM's take on it as a whole group! I could imagine Lyndsey's vocal harmonies above Stevies on the CHorus "Sooorrccerrrreerrr"What do you guys think? Sorceror to me sounds very earthy, and raw...the opening reminds me of a celtic nature tune with the single drum banging away in the background...The lyrics are fantastic "All round black ink darkness...The who found lady from the mountains" Was Stevie ever Pagan? I always wonder.... Its a great tune tho, a bit different. RussZsa |
