The Without You Thief Took Goldfish

This comment Stevie made in 1981 about the Goldfish and the Lady Bug reminds me so much of her Without You introduction. She is so hilarious. The "only" people who had the tape are her and ALL OF HER FRIENDS. So, seeing as how so many people had it with permission, why would she say it was stolen? She took it back to her house, so she never knew it was even gone? Makes no sense, but it's the same type of thing she says on stage today. She's so funny.:

"Somebody stole the tape out of my house. That tape Lindsey and I did probably about 1973 in our basement. So the only people that have that tape is me and all my friends. Now I have alot of friends, but still, on that bootleg album that you are talking about, there's a certain era of songs that came right out of a house that I lived in up in the hills of Hollywood. And that particular bunch of songs had to be taken just right out of my house and cassetted, just cassette to cassette, and I even went so far as to take the cassette back to my house so I never knew it was even gone. And the reason you don't hear any music on that tape is because Lindsey accidently erased the acoustic guitar."
