Mick was burning out badly on coke, losing everything he owned, etc. I don't think John was sober yet then either, and I know Chris wasn't. Concurrently, I think Lindsey was beginning to wind down from his substance abuse years, he had ridded himself of the infamous Carol Ann Harris, and on some level it had to be hard to witness Stevie's deterioration. If you love someone once, a tiny piece of that always remains... even if you don't end amicably.

No, I think Stevie was telling the truth about Tango production and why it was so frustrating for Lindsey. And I think Mick's craziness was reaching a peak too. Mick has always said as much, that the way he was then scared Lindsey and Lindsey thought he was going to get pulled down by Mick. He definitely didn't feel that he was getting much creative work done.

Whether it's true that Lindsey was worried about Stevie dying, I don't know --especially since she said he tried to kill her himself that day. He was going to murder her and she had to rely on Chris and Jess to avenge their tragic loss.

Still, from what he has said about seeing her at BTM in 1990, by that time he was clearly freaked out by how far gone she was. Michele
