So I've just been watching the videos for 'If You Ever Did Believe' and 'Sorcerer' along with live performances of 'Gold Dust Woman', 'Strong Enough', and - the arguably awkward - 'Landslide' on Oprah and realized how much I miss the collaborations between Stevie and Sheryl. Personally, I really enjoyed Sheryl's production of the TISL tracks and, while I don't think it would have been a good idea for her to join FM, I appreciate the connection and the dynamics between her and Stevie when they are on stage together. Stevie really seems to enjoy the presence of another gal when performing. Moreover, while watching these clips, I was also reminded of how incredibly generous she is when it comes to sharing the spotlight. Someone who is not familiar with any of their work of them could easily mistake them for a duo when watching IYEDB or Sorcerer. Lesser stars would have relegated Sheryl to the background (like Destiny's Child did with what's-her-name in 'Bootylicious') or not include her at all. Love it! Love Stevie!
