'Never going back again': edited version?!

Maybe this has been discussed before, but I'll bring it up anyway: why is there an edited version of the already short song 'Never going back again'? On the "25 Years: The Chain 4CD", it's only 2:02 whereas on the Rumours CD (both original and remastered), the vinyl abum, and on "The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac" it's 2:13.
On the edited version, the acoustic guitar part from 1:06 to 1:17 is removed.
It's not an 'alternate version' of 'alternate mix' (I thoroughly checked using my ear phone) but just a shorter version...
