Space Rocks! Beatles Tribute Band Records Music Video for Station Astronauts

A new music video by a Beatles tribute band celebrates a huge cargo ship's arrival at the International Space Station today (March 28) and sends a musical greeting to the orbiting lab's six-astronaut crew.Dutch band Love & Mersey recorded the video, which is called "Back at the ISS" (a play on The Beatles' rollicking song "Back in the USSR"). It welcomes the European Space Agency's third Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV-3), which is slated to dock with the space station today at 6:32 p.m. EDT (2232 GMT).

Fiona Apple Tour 2012: Watch Her Sing The Beatles' 'Across The Universe' Live In New York [VIDEO]

Acclaimed and habitually reclusive performing artist Fiona Apple has been road testing songs from her upcoming June LP, titled "The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do," her first album in seven years. At least three months before the album's release, she's racking up in-depth analyses about her new station and what audience the maturing singer now speaks to. This is not to mention the 412k fans clamoring on the singer's Facebook page, begging Apple to tour their cities and gushing about the upcoming album. After premiering a few new cuts at a select couple of SXSW shows, Apple wrapped a short string of U.S. dates.

More Startup Tips From The Beatles

I recently reviewed Richard Courtney and George Cassidy’s published business book, Come Together – The Business Wisdom of The Beatles in the first entry of this series. *Although the Beatles’ phenomenal career encompasses numerous startup lessons, many of the anecdotes cited in Come Together are trivial, while others are painfully obvious. However, despite the book’s shortcomings, it contains a number of insightful lessons emerging entrepreneurs can apply to their startup careers.

Lost George Harrison 'Sun' guitar solo on 'Material World' film

Tucked in among about a dozen bonus audio and video features on the May 1 home video release of Martin Scorsese’s documentary “George Harrison: Living in the Material World” is a session that’s bound to generate excitement among Harrison and Beatles aficionados: a missing George Harrison guitar solo from one of his most celebrated songs, “Here Comes the Sun.”It surfaces during in-studio conversation between Harrison’s son, Dhani, longtime Beatles producer George Martin and his son, Giles Martin, who has overseen recordings used in the film and on an accompanying CD.
