So probably no one cares about this anymore, but I had another recurrence of the bloody urine last week (though not as much blood as before). I went back to the doctor who did a more thorough examination. Blood work shows that I don't have an infection and kidney and liver functions are normal. Prostate exam (I'd never had one before - they are soooo not a big deal - I don't get why guys get so freaked out unless it's just the prospect of having something go in their asses) turned out fine.
She wants me to see a urologist. The only thing she mentioned as a possibility was kidney stones, which she said usually cause pain but not necessarily. I really don't think it's that - wouldn't I have passed it between last September and now? She said she really didn't think it was cancer, which was reassuring at first, but now not so much. What else could this be? Ugh. And of course, today I was like "I'll need to find an attorney and get medical POAs and all that **** done" in addition to the out-of-pocket expense that will be this visit to the urologist. |
