Any Phil Collins fans out there?

[PolishStevieFan]

I know, that in recent times it's almost a sin to admit that somebody likes Phil Collins but I am courageous enough to say it: "I'm a fan of Phil Collins". Recently I've bought his DVD release "The First, The Last Farewell Tour" and must admit that after watching it few times, I have even more respect for the man. I know his music with Genesis but no matter how hard I tried to convince myself to like it, still I prefer his solo work. I don't know what it is, but there's something special in his Pop approach. It's just Pop music, nothing more, but today we don't get as many good Pop albums as "Face Value" or "But Seriously". His voice is decent at best but his knack for writing memorable melodies cannot be denied. Some might say that "One More Night" or "Two Hearts" are just plain commercial stuff but in my opinion it's Pop music at its very best. It just puts me into a good mood, especially during cold, Polish winter I have Phil's all solo albums, even his most recent Motown tribute album and even if it sounds a bit uncool I will say one more time: "Yes I am a fan of Phil Collins"
