Regina Spektor

[KarmaContestant]

Am I the only Regina Spektor fan on this board? I've mentioned her a few times in passing but never noticed anyone else comment about her.

I don't believe she gets much radio play, at least not in my neck of the woods. She has a live album that was released recently and I bought it on vinyl as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend because he loves her so much - maybe more than I do, but I'm not sure about that. Regardless, he was a fan before I was. I'd really like to open that record and give it a spin, but I'm trying to be patient.

Regina was born in Soviet Russia; her family migrated to England and then New York where she developed her interesting perspective on the world. Her voice is one of the most amazing, purest things I have ever heard and is virtually without flaws of any sort.

I'd venture to say Regina is one of the most talented artists in the *world* right now.

If you're not familiar, here are a few videos to check out - some of my favorites.
