I have to admit it wasn't the finest performance. As regards to comments that she was drunk or stoned, I thought she just looked tired (or perhaps sick). She looked the same on the Sunday night when she was "mentoring" the contestants. To be honest, that is the worst bit of mentoring I've ever seen. Most guest are in the studio helping the contestants with their songs and giving them advice on their singing etc.
It was more of a "meet and greet" Stevie than anything else, she certainly wasn't mentoring them, just tossing a bit of advice their way (or at least that is how the show portrayed it). As for the Aussies being harsh, we say things how we see them. Meatloaf was terrible a few months back (part of his overall decline I think from when I first saw him in concert 15 years ago) and no matter how much you love Stevie, it certainly wasn't her best performance.
