In the interview clips with Christine posted on her Web site, she talks about how some FM albums had "padding." Which Rumours-era FM songs do you think she considers filler?
Any song that was released as a single, I think, would have to be disqualified. Here are my opinions: I don't think Rumours or Tusk have any filler. Fleetwood Mac: "Sugar Daddy," an inferior knock-off of "Say You Love Me" (though I like both tunes). Mirage: Quite a bit of filler. "That's Alright," "Empire State," "Only Over You," "Wish You Were Here," and even "Straight Back" are all rather mediocre tunes (though some have grown on me over the years). And I've always despised "Oh Diane," although that was a single so I guess someone inexplicably thought it was good. Tango: Definites are "Caroline," "Mystified," "Welcome to the Room...Sara," "You and I Pt. 2," and two others are arguable: "Tango in the Night" and "When I See You Again." What do others think? |
