Honestly, though, I have no idea. In fact, if she hadn't admitted to implants I wouldn't have thought she had them-they've never looked like Montagian bolt-ons. I can't recall any drastic boob changed that couldn't be explained by weight changes
Clearly, I'm no expert. No that my curiosity has been piqued, though, I'll probably have to devote a couple of hours to examining Stevie's boobs through the years (one of the weirder sentences I've ever typed).
I consider myself an expert on Stevie's boobies. I've been staring at them fororever. No, she didn't lie...at least not about when she got implants. You can tell from comparing Fritz, BN and FM white album era photos that she had no chest until Rumours era. After 76 you can see she had a handfull. They looked very nice and natural. She was wise not to go for biguns.

She might be stretching the truth implying her boobs are 100% real now. My guess is she had silicone implants removed in the 90s. I doubt she wanted to leave her body disfigured. She probably replaced the silicone with saline implants which also look very normal and natural. Again, she went with small, correctly proportioned implants, so nobody can really tell. Good call.

I think she was just smart about the boob job and didn't go very large.

But I totally agree with you that really, there was never a drastic change that couldn't be explained by weight. I think that is DEFINITELY what happened in the late 80's when her boobs got huge - not that she got implants, but that.. she gained weight, and that was one of the places it started to show.

There's that still frame of her during ICW video bending down and they looked natural still and fine during 1985. Someone might have the shot somewhere.

Mezzo, you brought up a good point about the Epstein-Barr stuff. I didn't even think about that before... how would you get epstein-barr from implants? Is there something in the silicone? I thought it was a virus.

i thought she had epstein barr virus and that was when they also realized her implants were leaking, so it was two issues making her ill. i had epstein barr and was sick for a few years (and i'm still f'd up today) but never had implants - the two are not related. and many people can have the virus and be a carrier, but not get sick with it, from what i have understood?

i first noticed she looked like she had implants when watching angel in the tusk documentary. the way she was dancing around and i was wondering what kind of bra she was wearing, was it strapless because strapless never seem that supportive, and finally thinking, are those fake? i think in the mid to late 70's breast implants were coming out and starting be "the thing" among celebrities. she was a pioneer, lol!

Correct me if I'm wrong and she had valid reasons for using this anti-implant rampage, but I think she might have just felt uncomfortable admitting to having a "kissing disease."
Stevie is one of the only people I can see feeling more comfortable admitting to plastic surgery than an exchange of bodily fluids. Ah, I cherish her!
When you say "kissing disease" I believe through the euphemism you are referring to something more embarassing than mono, but I find it interesting because I noticed that although fans have said Lindsey had mono, when they had to return to Northern California from Los Angeles, I noticed Lindsey never said that. He said what he had was never diagnosed. I wondered if that was true or if he just really didn't want to say what it was that he had.

But wasn't he sick for something like a year? I can't imagine you-know-what lasting that long, unless you're Henry the Eighth or something.

The mono thing holds up, I think, because it is the sort of label that gets attached to a range of fatigue- or postviral-related conditions. Back in the early '70s, postviral syndromes were not very well known, so it's possible that it was labelled as mono anyway, even if LB never accepted the label?

Interestingly, Stevie has made many references to her parents telling her how tired she looked and how she was sick all the time in the BN days. This was before the 'crazy' FM tour schedule, and I've always thought it was likely that she had whatever LB had, too, but it was perhaps milder - or she made less of a fuss! Y'know what 'man flu' is!

Christine has said that Stevie was sick all of the time too. Always cold and frail, but did a complete 180 for the stage. Michele

Could all of this talk of EBV be merely a convenient smokescreen for the truth- that Stevie was really lethargic and zonked out from tranqulizers, but didn't want to admit it? It seems that her EBV "symptoms" seemed to manifest and ebb during her Klonopin era? Just saying...

They do seem to have a correlation, with the time period, so that makes sense. However, I've heard Stevie talk about her EBV stuff fairly recently, and she'salso obviously had no problems saying that the Klonopin made her want to just sit at home and order takeout and not do anything and ruined her life etc.. so I'm not sure why she would blame feeling tired and all that on EBV if it was the Klono.
