Sucks too it should be in the middle !!!!
I agree with Stand Back being in the middle. I also thought she was smart to open with Fall From Grace and still think she should. It is the ideal place for that song but I also understand doing OTR/Dreams because it segues so nicely.

As for me, I can totally understand why Stevie has not added yet given her illness, tv appearances, lack of rehearsal time,etc... And I hope that the Wiltern gets new stuff.

However, I take issue with the fact that it's still only 11 songs for a solo show that she headlines. Opening for Rod, I forgave plus we got 2 more songs within his set.

But for her - even if she didn't have time to rehearse new stuff - and dare I say it - Rock N Roll was performed recently, she knows it, she didn't have to really rehearse. Same with If Anyone Falls. Even You Wreck Me at this point ffs.

The point is that I think a regular show of Stevie's should have 14 songs minimum. her songs are usually longer so I'm ok with 14 but anything less is too short and anything more is gravy.

As for her upcoming shows -given rehearsal time - I believe Love Is a fantastic song but should not be the closer. I think Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You? is the solo equivalent to Landslide. It embodies her and encompasses her entire message of if not for yourself, live on for this world and make it better. That is the last sentiment I want to have and want people to "get" out of her.

That is the one thing I am most passionate about. I mean I have opinions obviously on the other songs selection and sequencing in the show but I enjoy it no matter what as long as HAEWAFY is in the set and it's last.

More thinking out loud here but I believe a good set list would be both in terms of selection and pacing (disclaimer: this set list is not my ideal mainly because my personal preference would be for her to do few FM songs if any but this is next best thing)

Outside The Rain/Dreams
Ghosts Are Gone
Annabel Lee
Sorcerer
Rhiannon
Gold Dust Woman
New Orleans
Secret Love
Landslide
Stand Back
Love Is
Moonlight
Edge of Seventeen

Encores:
Fall From Grace
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You?

Preferred (yet realistic - not gonna hope for Sisters of the Moon lol) set list:

Gold Dust Woman
Secret Love
For What It's Worth
Outside The Rain/Dreams
Moonlight
Ghosts Are Gone
Love Is
If Anyone Falls or Rooms On Fire
New Orleans
Annabel Lee
Stand Back
Italian Summer
Edge of Seventeen

Encores:

Fall From Grace or Whole Lotta Trouble
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You?

Before the Fantasy Springs show we wandered into the theatre while they were setting up and there on a table was the set list. And where Fall from Grace ended up being, was You Wreck Me. I guess she changed her mind.

Stevie Nicks Concert
Sunday, May 22, 2011, 12:42 PM [General]

What a great concert! I hope some of you were able to attend, she played ALOT of her hits, and the weather was perfect (looked like it was going to rain, but it didn't). She still looks great (she said she was fixin to turn 63, really, I couldn't tell!) I especially liked the last words she spoke before leaving, they went something like this.....Our world is in alot of chaos now, and I want you to pray for it.....prayers work! I for one said a prayer, and I hope you take her advice as well...talk to you soon!

To me, opening with "Stand Back" is somewhat akin to opening with "Edge of Seventeen." It's too close to being a signature song of Stevie's, especially since Fleetwood Mac also performs it when she tours with them.

If she still wanted to play it somewhat safe with the same old, same old songs, I'd swap "Fall From Grace" and "Stand Back" in the set like she did during the This Is Not A Tour Tour. But if I were here, I'd be performing much more of the new material, almost to the point where even the diehards are wondering where all the hits are.

I totally agree. I hate SB as an opener. If she'd bring it back, I think Rooms on Fire would make an awesome opener!!

I think Stand Back is a great opener. It's immediately recognizable by 90% of the people in attendance, and it has a great energy.

I think that FFG has that energy, but nobody knows it. Same with Outside the Rain. Sure, it's been a staple of her live show since the beginning, but I don't think the casual fan (whom, as well all know, is Stevie's main priority in pleasing these days) is too familiar with it.

I really liked when she opened with Stop Draggin' on the TISL tour, too.

^I'm sure the video distorts her voice so I won't comment on that, but it's like watching a tree up there.
