No, I didn't notice the "ocean" thing. I'll have to listen. The album did reinforce the fact that Stevie cannot pronounce her "r".

I was just about to post a thread saying the SAME THINGS!! This song will not exit my head. Night or day. And that's fine by me. It kicks ARSE! It's gotta be one of the ballsiest songs she's written... and she did so in her 60s! I love it when Stevie is sassy... and when she talks about racy things. It just makes me happy that she hasn't really mellowed personally (even thought she may no longer be wild onstage). This song is a reminder why I love Stevie. It's like her modern day No Spoken Word or something .

Stevie is so outspoken in this song. I love the tone of her voice in the verses.

I love it! It's real and sensual and she can get away with it. She's in her 60's, she's lived and learn. This type of honesty is what I really appreciate about this album.

I'll admit that everything I ever learned about English grammar I learned in French class, so I'm clearly not the expert on such technicalities as that, but her explanation certainly makes sense. when i first streamed the album from rolling stone... immediately after getting to this track...repeat..repeat...REPEAT..like probably a dozen times before i moved on to the rest of the album! i still listen to this one more than twice in a row when listening to the album Love It!!!

musically, i prefer it to "the only thing that they did together ... was make love" because it sounds more percussive. but it does sound stilted, i agree.
