First post, by the way. Hi everyone!
Well, also, I know a lot of girls named Sara(h) who got into the Mac because of the song.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

It puts me in mind of Arthur Schnitzler's shattering novella Sterben (translated Starving, or Dying), in which the young woman, in love with a young man who is terminally ill, runs from him emotionally in a frantic flight into life, into the land of the living.

We all do this around dying family & friends, to varying degrees. It's something I keep in mind, because when the time comes that I am on my deathbed, I want to understand & not be hurt by the distance that my family & friends put between them & me.

It is painful. I've had people say, "I didn't want to see him/her that way" and it's made me angry. But it's a natural response. I've done it myself. Although, I did it when someone was brain dead, so they never knew I wasn't there as much as I could or should have been.

I remember Stevie saying how she went to see Robin and how her temperature was higher than Robin's was. I imagine that provoked giddy laughter at the time, but it was masking the awkwardness and pain that everyone must have been feeling.

This is probably my favourite of all the articles / interviews we've read / heard recently. Sara was so beautiful and it seems they had - continue to have - a very special relationship. Stevie has such a big heart
