Oh, it's definitely normal for women to share that with other women, and especially in this situation, she kind of does need to know. She's on birth control. It shouldn't be moving. So when her schedule gets strange, she's got to find out why.

Also, I think it's funny that we can talk about pooping without issue, but talking about another totally natural body process is gross.

Isn't it generally known that women who live in close quarters end up in sync with this? I certainly know of 2 female friends of mine, office mates, who had this happne.

Yup! It's actually sometimes called the Wellesley effect, which is funny situationally here Apparently a girl who went here was involved in figuring it out. One of the explanations for why we may have evolved to do this is that it was a way for women to be better able to care for each other's children way back in the day. If women were getting pregnant at the same time, they would be able to nurse the babies of their friends in times of need/trouble/etc. It's a pretty cool effect. What's weird about me and my friend is that her body should already believe it IS pregnant from her bc. My schedule shouldn't matter.

Talking about poop and such from the anonymity of the interwebs is one thing, but it's another thing to just talk about it openly with your co-habitants. I think that's yucky too. It would be enough to make me cover my ears and go "blah, blah, blah, blah..."

Back on topic, I was under the impression that a vast majority of pre-menopausal women were on some kind of birth control pill just to diminish or avoid the adverse symptoms of monthly menstruation, if nothing else. I suppose it would be rather irksome to be doing my thing and then suddenly seeing the Red Sea flowing from my pants unexpectedly.

Friends, I HATE. I've never been able to STAND that show. It's stupid to me, and it's very female based humor.
I just don't get it. The second it comes on, I run for the remote.
