Alicia Silverstone would actually be a really good Stevie, looks-wise. And I can't say I've seen her in anything other than Clueless but I'll just assume she's a decent enough actress. However, she's like 35 already so pretty soon she'll be too old for the part, unfortunately.
I know that Stevie and Reese are good friends, and that Reese was excellent in Walk The Line.... but I really think that this is an ill-fitted choice in all respects. I just don't think it... works, at all. In fact she's one of the last people I would pick. Edit, the depths of the internet took me to Mercedes McNab, \![]()

My brother told me a while back that Rhys Ifans would make a good Mick Fleetwood. I think he's right.

Dianna Agron would be my choice for Stevie; I'd choose Elizabeth Banks to play Christine; and Daniel Radcliffe, roughed-up and aged a little would be my choice as John. I'm really struggling to find a Lindsey... Bradley Cooper bearded up maybe?? Last edited by chele_belle; 04-04-2011 at 05:44 PM.. |

agree, for some reason Cate for Christine sounds just right! whoever would be young Lindsey should have blue eyes... a while ago, in a similar thread here on the ledge, many people were proposing Bradley Cooper should be LB, plus i've seen some unrelated comments elsewhere about him looking like he's LB's son.

I've said it before, Alison Lohman for Stevie:
![]() ![]() I agree with Rhys Ifans for Mick and Cate Blanchett for Christine is just perfect, but please no Sienna Miller! That movie will lose all credibility, let's get a credible actress instead. And Matthew Morrison is way too ugly to be Lindsey (he could be Waddy, with a wig )

I can't think of anyone who could play Stevie. Reese's jawline and chin ruin it for her no matter how good an actress she might be for a Stevie part.
![]() After studying Bradley Cooper, I think he could pull off a good Lindsey. I think it's in the eyes and certain features. ![]() ![]() Whether short hair or long, I think Bradley looks good in both. I love his longer wavy hair from The Hangover. (Someone on here rocks this same wavy hair and I love it) ![]() |

YES!!!!!!!!!!! She's perfect! I'd forgotten all about her. I LOVED her in "Matchstick Men" and "White Oleander".

here are some ideas for Lindz.
Three fellas all with lovey blue eyes and naturally curly hair: Matt Bomer, James Marsden and Ian Sommerhalder. ![]() |

My main physical criteria for Stevie is size. I really feel like whoever plays her kind of has to be short. Stevie was kind of the naughty child of the group early on--this tiny, goofy kid in enormous boots, trying to stand up to the others. It was so central to the visual impact, I think it has to come across in the film.
With that in mind... How about Kristen Bell for Stevie? I know she's made terrible film decisions of late, but anyone who saw Veronica Mars knows she's an incredible actress. She's also a great singer and dancer. Granted, the faces are completely different--KB's delicate features stand in sharp contrast to SN's doe-eyed, pouty-lipped, jutting-chinned look. Other than that, she'd be perfect! Or, Amanda Seyfriend? Also bitsy, and with colored contacts I think she could look quite like Stevie--she has the doe eyes, full lips, and sharper chin. She's also a good singer, though I don't think she could pull off a Stevie voice as well as KB could. Finally, Drew Barrymore. Granted, she's almost too old for the part already (36), but she does look younger. Not that petite (5'4''), but facially I think she resembles Stevie the most. Decent singer. And more than probably any other actress in Hollywood, she could work that Nicksian blend of charm and immaturity. But please, please not Sienna Miller! Did you see Factory Girl? Oh, to be able to unsee it!
