Jealous! I just noticed a couple of days ago that she was playing at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC (a tiny, tiny little club) on April 26. But it's sold out. She could have easily played the Beacon Theatre or the Nokia Theatre, so it's puzzling why she would play the Bowery, which is more of an indie scene.

Oh me, for sure! I threw Stevie over for Emmylou for a couple of years--until I realized I cold hold two opposites--there is room in my musical life for both.
In my experience, seeing Emmylou live is amazing, but the majority of her audience is old and lame and sits there like dead stumps. Not that most Stevie fans are spring chickens, but we understand the need to get up out of our chairs and dance from time to time. Also, Emmylou's board is quite weird and quiet. Every time I visit it makes me thankful for the Ledge.
I'm looking forward to the new album and hoping it's not as sad as All I Intended. That album was all about dealing with her life-stage issues, which is fine but not something I want to listen to all that often. The tribute song to Kate McGarrigle and the one about her dog don't really give me a lot of confidence that this will be too much different. The album cover is lovely though.

At any rate, enjoy your show!

I saw her live at the same venue for the All I Intended To Be tour and it was excellent. The setlist was brilliant - especially Leaving Louisisana In The Broad Daylight, which may be my favourite Emmy song ever.

My favourite Emmy albums are: Quarter Moon In A Ten Cent Town, Roses In The Snow and probably Luxury Liner or Wrecking Ball or Red Dirt Girl. I also love At The Ryman, if for nothing else that her brilliant cover of Steve Earle's Guitar Town!

Oh and I'm also a big Ronstadt fan so Western Wall: The Tucson Sessions (their duet album) is really special for me.

I too love Western Wall, especially All I Left Behind and Sisters of Mercy. I love her duet album with Mark Knopfler too. My all-time favorite song is The Pearl. Makes me cry every time I hear it live. Wrecking Ball is my top album, but I do love her more country stuff too, like Elite Hotel and later At the Ryman. I love most all of it, I guess, but prefer her more mature voice.

I love Emmylou,She's great. I got into her music when I caught the country music fever in the mid 1970's .the same time when Stevie and Lindsey join FM. Emmylou is at the tops og my list like Wynonna Judd and the Sweethearts of the Rodeo.I've seen Emmylou live alot of times.and had a opportunity to meet her on her tour bus.twice in two years . and had her sign my tee shirt.I have to mark my calendar for July 31 in Newport, RI - Newport Folk Fest.

I would love for her, Dolly & Linda to do something again or just get Linda to do something!

Stevie, Deborah Harry, Ann & Nancy Wilson are out there making albums & touring so why can't she?

Linda's last album was that rather odd ZoZo Sisters one - I'd love for her to resurrect her solo career but she has said that she just really isn't interested and has retired gracefully so good luck to her. Kind of like Christine McVie I suppose but. sigh, I'd love another album. No way we'd get a tour though.

As for another Trio, or duets album... that would be incredible!!

Oh, and I have the same birthday as Linda too!

Atleast one more album would be wonderful!

Also the 'R&R Hall of Fame' would be the icing on the cake!

She totally deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame! I actually think she never gets her due as someone who was gugely influential in that Laurel Canyon 68-74 Country Rock Scene. I think because she did so many pop remakes of older songs that it took away from her other material. Not only did she have The Eagles as her backing band before they hit it big but she helped popularise songwriters like Lowell George, Warren Zevon, Kate and Anna McGarrigle and Karla Bonoff.

She hates Rolling Stone though so I doubt the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will accept her - it's a bit like what Rolling Stone says goes for that.

The R&R Hall of Fame is one big fat ass joke!

Some of the people that are there, shouldn't be.

Some DESERVE this honor!

That Jann pecker ( or is that weiner) has some kind of grudge!

With amazing singers like Linda & Ann Wilson, it's a shame that they're not members.

What a major insult!

I have to agree.I like to know how these people get elected.I think all of these hall a fame organizations are not on track with wtats going on.I have to say the same for the Country Music hall of fame. The Hollywood walk of fame and others including sports hall of fame organizations.

As I was on the BBC radio site listening to FM interview from 1976.I was playing around and found that Bob Harris has a interview with Emmylou on his show.
