Default Stevie on Oprah !?

As reported on nickslive.blogspot.com:

Sheri Salata, executive producer for the Oprah Show, responded to a fan on twitter, that the possibility of an upcoming Stevie Nicks appearance may not be far fetched.
What do y'all think? If it happens, I predict a show featuring both Stevie & Rod very likely.
To state that this would be an incredible promotion move for Stevie's new record, would be an understatement! Heck, maybe Stevie would even preform her new single and Oprah would profess her *Secret Love* for Stevie all these years...

I'm sorry, but I don't give a flying f*ck about Oprah.

It would be spectacular publicity if Stevie could get on Oprah.

It would indeed be a powerful promotional tool to be on Oprah. The only thing better would be to have on both Stevie and Lindsey on the same show.

I would actually prefer a special dedicated to the legendary Goddess of Rock Stevie Nicks on the OWN Network. Yes, a special all about Stevie and preview of her new album on Oprah's new network but I'll settle for a headline guest on the final season of The Oprah Show.

Oh, Mike I feel the same way!. But I can totally see Oprah exploiting having 2 iconic rock legends on one show, especially when both are on a highly visible 5 week tour.

It would seem to me, if Oprah's executive producer is saying "good news on this to come, I hope :-)",that Stevie's management and/or Warner Bros & Oprah's producers have been in contact & are possibly in talks about working through any logistical and scheduling conflicts. I hope this happens, even though I have my own conflicting opinions about Oprah. Ultimately, for Stevie's sake, it would be a damn good lead off for "In Your Dreams".

How far in advance are Oprah's shows planned? I would think that if this were a Stevie/Rod thing, they would want to air it before the tour began, or at least very early on in the tour. I'm really not a talk show viewer, though, so I have no idea.

I'm not a big Oprah fan, but I keep up with pop culture. And Oprah can sometmes have on guests that have just become famous/infamous, and immediately there's a show with them on Oprah! I mean, days within them becoming famous ~ missing wives stories, sudden tragedies, even celebrity scandals.

So, even if they have a pretty well set plan of shows until the end, I'm sure there's some leeway. Plus, we have no idea if this has been in the works for awhile.

I'm sure Twitter is like a third arm for some of you, but we really have zero info on what is going on publicity~wise with In Your Dreams at this point. Stevie's handlers and WB know; we don't.

And, Lindsay ~ let's BOTH keep dreaming it true for Stevie to have her own OWN Special!!! Two hours, even!!!

I think generally a couple weeks in advance, shows are in the can. Oprah has been running repeats this last week or so, probably gearing up for the last 5-6 weeks of episodes.
As far a scheduling, if it's a Stevie & Rod appearance, they have a 2 days break between the Wed, April 6th, NYC show and Sat, April 9th, Chicago show. Giving them 2 days, if all parties calendars are clear, to record an appearance.

Has anyone ever watched the Oprah behind the scenes that are airing on OWN? It's cameras following the producers and oprah around this last year while they are in production showing what it takes to put the shows together... It looks intense in many situations... but there's a bunch of producers working all kinds of stories and angles. It's good... gives you an idea of what goes on.

This would be great. I think it's going to happen. First of all, with the earthquake and war starting, it's starting to look like TISL all over again. Well, Stevie was on Rosie in 2001. Bet, she is on Oprah this time. Things are just mirroring TISL too much. Think about this: Rosie did that show with Stevie and then went off the air soon after. This is also Oprah's last year. Deja Vu is in the air.

This would be a dream come true. I hope Rod is not on though. He will dominate the show.

I can already hear it now... *ten years from now* "Well this album is just the BEST album I have ever done, you know, because In Your Dreams was just a blur because there was so much chaos going on in the world and it was just lost in the shuffle! I still went out and toured, but it was just like, In Your Dreams was done before it ever started! Also, most of the tracks on In Your Dreams were co-written and there were very few just Stevie songs. Luckily, this album is all me! And it has been a complete blast and the world is going to love this album!" Le sigh... it is her own damn fault tho. TISL was done a YEAR before 9/11, yet she held it off until May and still blames TISL being a blur bc of 9/11. Now she has been sitting on this album for months and will for sure blame any kind of shortfalls on the current chaos.
