The title of this thread just keeps getting more intriguing..!
I'm going to steer this thread in a slightly more amusing direction, since there is really nowhere else this topic fits: Why do some people not understand the concept of air freshener after using the bathroom for certain unsavoury purposes? Especially when they are a guest in somebody else's house and the option is very clearly available to them. Is it simply ignorance of the olfactory assault they are imposing upon others, or do they genuinely not have any sense of propriety or embarrassment? |

If you're going to make a stank please don't share it with us all! My mum keeps 2 kinds of air freshener (different smells for who prefers what) and a box of matches to burn it out of the air by the toilet. And yet, my little SISTER can't take a hint. |

Talk about TMI!So I stopped off at my favorite bar last night, to play a couple of games of pool with my friend. Well, I really needed to pee, beforehand.....I walk into the bathroom, and my fukcing gawd!!!!!! The worst stank I've ever smelled!!!! I immediately turned around, and exited, and held my pee for at least 45 minutes!!!!! I mean MY GAWD people, am I the only one, who can hold it until I get home? And if mine even smelled remotely that bad, there's no way in hell, that I'd unleash in a small bar, where 80% of the people know who I am, and that I was just in there! I mean, fukc me with a chainsaw! Buy a cork, or something! I was terrified that stank was ON me, after just walking into it! I even walked a quick circle, before returning to the pool table, just to make sure it wasn't attached! ![]() I couldn't tell you the last YEAR, that I #2'd in a public restroom. Hell, I couldn't tell you the last decade! |

While I can definitely appreciate the terror of inhaling someone else's stank, I must point out that bathrooms *were* made for this very thing.

Indeed. The only thing that smells worse than sh*t is 'mountain fresh' or 'spring breeze' scented sh*t.

and I like those clean linen plug ins and air freshners. A friends mom used to have a certain brand of Apple Spice plug in she used from Meijer's Dept. store back in the 90's and their whole house smelled awesome I thought. I only like certain scents though of plug ins. As far as laundry detergent and fabric softener, I like Tide with Downy or Original Gain. And Gain fabric softener or Snuggle (various scents) or Downy April Fresh. Bounce sheets smell good though too... I could spend all day deciding in a store though. ![]() Last edited by fringed n fab; 03-17-2011 at 11:08 AM.. |

At my old watering hole, there was this old fat guy, that practically lived there(although he didn't drink). He would smell up the whole bar, from the bathroom!!! They made a rule, that he had to drive home(like 1/2 mile) to do his #2! I was there, when the bartender was yelling at him, "you only live a few blocks from here!!!! Drive home to sh*t, from now on!" |

*I* wouldn't, though I can't fault someone who does because really, that's what they were designed for!

Well, I think there's nothing more obnoxious than walking into work in the morning and having your eyeballs melt from the stench in the bathroom. I mean, you just got into work. Couldn't y'all have taken care of this business before coming in?? Seriously... as far as I'm concerned, doing that sort of thing in public should be only for exceptional, emergency-related purposes.

While we're on the subject of the bathroom, does anyone else struggle to tinkle if someone else can hear?
I have to either angle myself or shove a wad of loo roll down the loo to tinkle on so there's no sound ![]() |

Well I only poop in the house so that's not a problem *hmm* I imagine in an emergency I'd pull the toilet paper trick, though.

not if it's a public loo anyway. But if I'm at a friend's, or a guy's house (don't you hate that first awkward 'where's your loo?' question?!) I'm proud to say I've perfected the 'silent wee'! It involves a lot of kegel control and clever angling..! ![]() |
