Glee's version of Landslide is current at number 12 on the itunes top 100. I hope this pulls up Fleetwood Mac's version on some sort of chart.

Fleetwood Mac's version is 199 on the iTunes top 200 with the Dixie Chicks version at 140 and the Glee version at 11 and 42 (because it is on both the single album and the Glee Music Vol 5).

Based on digital sales, it's likely Glee cover of "Landslide" will crack the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

And if that doesn't turn your stomach, this will:

Billboard reported on Feb. 16 that the "Glee" cast surpassed Elvis' record for most entries on the Hot 100 singles chart by placing 113 songs on the chart, besting Elvis Presley's 108 chart entries that he logged between the survey's inception in 1958 and and his last posthumous release in 2003.

I wonder if Stevie will call the Glee kids 'my wonderful little money makers' in her next interview about them, haha. Still, if it introduces more people to Stevie / Fleetwood Mac, that's gotta be a good thing.

Not to be snarky, but I have to ask why this is a bad thing? A show about music, that introduces all kinds of music to an entire generation that might not otherwise get any exposure to the artists and songs represented seems like a great thing to me. No amount of Billboard chart figures will ever take away or diminish the integrity of the original artists and recordings. Additionally, the cast almost always mentions the original artist in the show.

I believe Glee is well written and has actual cultural value, unlike most of the garbage that is on TV.

I don't understand why the charting of their songs should be stomach turning.

I waited to see this last night, it was very Dixie Chick'ish but I enjoyed it. Anytime we can put Stevie's or FM name out there I'll support it!

Was Stevie's name even mentioned? I turned it off after the song. I'm sure that if there weren't 4 versions on itunes charting, the song would be #1.
