We've really been blessed with so many great Stevie performances over the years. I remember getting a bootleg of "At Last" in 1998 right after the Stormy Weather concert, and wishing so badly for a perfect copy of it. Well, my wish came true when the CD was released a little later on, making me so happy!
So, I was wondering what were some other live songs on wish lists that are not in High Quality, and maybe wishing will work for these, too! Here's my Top Five: 1. "Gypsy" - The Wild Heart Tour 1983 - Nothing compares to how this song was performed on this tour! The music is SO full, all the piano, keyboards, guitar, that rocking beat... Not to mention Stevie's wild-hearted vocal, especially her ad libs in the song, which make it even more special. 2. "Twisted" - Enchanted Tour 1998 - Wow! I just love this version, so much more than the album version. I like the instrumental breaks, and Stevie's ending to the song. 3. "Blue Lamp" - Bella Donna Tour 1981 - Of course, I want the video of this as well! Such a different, rocking version, with Waddy's awesome guitar screaming away! 4. "Love Is" - 2010 Tour - Going back to the demo version truly resurrected this almost forgotten song from Trouble In Shangri-la. It's fantastic having the bootleg, but a HQ version would make it a nice addition to a Stevie Live collection. 5. "Rhiannon" - The Wild Heart Tour 1983 - Same reasons as "Gypsy". Also, this is one of the only tours where "Rhiannon" is not represented in HQ (along with the early part of the 1987 Tango In The Night Tour and the 1991 TimeSpace Tour, both of which I want, too!) What are yours? ![]() |

"Think About It" - because it's one of my favorite songs and she did a great job performing it live during her first solo tour. All the audience recordings I have are beautiful, but I've been dreaming of a good, high quality soundboard recording for years. I don't think it exists.
"Storms" - There were many beautiful versions of this during the Unleashed tour. "Whenever I Call You Friend" - My first memory of hearing Stevie's voice was when this song came on the radio when I was really young. I know she's appeared as a guest a few times at a couple of Kenny's shows after "Nightwatch" came out. They've definitely performed it live together...does a live version exist? I've never seen one. "Planets Of The Universe" - New York and Atlanta performances of this song during the TISL tour were particularly fierce and high energy. A great live soundboard recording of this would make an excellent addition! "Juliet" - She performed this only once or twice right? I'd love to hear it. One of my fav songs from TOSOTM. |

Wow! Great choices! I always forget about "Think About It" being the second song in concert after "Gold Dust Woman" on the Bella Donna Tour.

"Black Velvet" performed at some benefit concert with a one-hit-wonders theme in 1998. If I'm not mistaken, didn't she also perform "It Takes Two" (with Don Henley?) at this show as well?
"What About Love" with Heart and Grace Slick. "Knocking on Heaven's Door" with Dylan and Petty in Australia. Anything from the 2006 (7?) Huggy Bear Benefit with Don Henley and Roger Waters. Anything from the 2006 (7?) bar mitzvah with Aerosmith and Tom Petty. "Beauty and the Beast" with the full orchestra at the Brendan Byrne Arena (NJ) 1983 "Sunday Kind of Love" at one of the Walden Woods benefits. "Love Is Like an Itching in My Heart" at the 2008 Spirit of Life Awards |

Dreams from the US festival. We have Outside the Rain, but it would nice to have dreams to go with it.
Stand Back from the Enchnated tour. I love the way the song kicks in after the drum intro. I'd have to agree on Gypsy from the Wild Heart tour and Love is from the 2010 shows as well. Destiny Rules & Running through the Garden from say you will tour, only performed on the opening night if I recall |

a high quality rockin version of "OUTESIDE THE RAIN" that sound more modern and does NOT sound like the 80's. There are alot of 80s moments that i love, but otr works now really well imho with more updated music.

'Love Is Like An Itching In My Heart' and 'Black Velvet' are my picks, because neither of them has either surfaced. 'Itching' especially, I would love to hear, and it doesn't even need be of HQ.
I'd settle for whatever Q version there is of those 2 songs. |
