No, I do not have those recently-leaked demos you mentioned! "Why Should I Love You?" breaks my heart, I love it so much! And Never For Ever is my favourite of Kate's albums. Never even heard of "Kidnapped" ~ when's it from? How could I get those?

With "Experiment IV", I meant the Extended 12" Version with the other verse added in. There's a verse on the album version not on the 12" mix. "It could feel like falling in love..." etc. That's just an instrumental part on the 12" mix. But I love the intro on the 12" and all the extra stuff, I would still like that verse in it, since it's some of the coolest lines about THE EXPERIMENT. Make sense?

A friend made me an edit of the FULL song about 6 years ago, using album and 12" versions, but I lost the CD before uploading it.

BTW, in 1989, I had a UK magazine with a guy's ad selling demos from The Dreaming, including "Houdini", "Leave It Open" and a song called "Castaway" (no, not the soundtrack, not "Be Kind To My Mistakes", an actual song named "Castaway"), among others I don't remember. I called him up from Houston to buy them, but he said he sold them all.

He was also the guy who was selling the Polish postcard series single of Stevie's "Castaway".

I started a thread last April or so, all details in there. It's some kind of bootleg single of "Castaway" on cardboard vinyl or something like that. From Poland circa 1988. A few people said they had it, but did not have turn tables to play it anymore to know which version of Stevie's "Castaway" is on it.

Hi guys. I don't know if this is appropriate to post these here but since there seems to be a lot of people asking about Kate Bush stuff I didn't think anyone would mind. Mods, feel free to delete this post if you think it's out of place.

Here are two mixes I did. One is a version of Hounds Of Love that mixes in the album version with the 12" using the vocal from the 12" as background vocals to the original and extending the ending. Here it is:

The second is a simple edit of Big Sky where I add in the missing beginning to the 12". Anyone familiar with this extraordinary mix knows they left out the beginning. I never understood why. I used the version from the single mix, which was different than the album version. I included the cool intro from the 12" too, just cause I like it.

And now back to your regularly scheduled Stevie.

Fantastic! Now, you need to do one for "Experiment IV", splicing together the album version with the 12" to get all the lyrics and extra instrumentals!

Cool!

I also did a mashup of HoL -- the two mixes along with the film that in part, inspired it (Curse Of The Demon):

Hmmm, I've never tackled that one before but I do have both versions. Okay, I'll work on that.

That was absolutely brilliant!!! I love the way you extended the strings to encompass the infamous "it's in the trees" part, expanding on the single sample that was in the original. Every time I watch that movie and that guy says that I keep expecting to hear the drums from the song start up. LOL! I'm very impressed, not only at your skill in editing the music (flawless!) but in the dramatic way you edited the video as well. If I'd never seen the movie or the video I would have really thought Kate Bush had a part in the movie (through the use of a time machine, of course). And don't think I didn't notice the sample from Love and Anger, one of my favorite Kate songs of all time. Good job. I bow down in your presence.

God, not only is this one of my all-time favourite films, this has to be one of the best Kate mash-ups I've ever heard. Thanks for sharing!!

Default and now for a little mix of Stevie and Tori Amos...

This mashup is from two live tracks that were bucking my every effort to make them mesh nicely...but still their voices sound nice together and occasionally, even Tori's piano is right in time with the Mac's instruments.

KATE BUSH RELEASES “DIRECTOR’S CUT” A NEW ALBUM WHICH SEES HER RE-VISIT A SELECTION OF TRACKS FROM TWO OF HER CLASSIC ALBUMS.

London, 11 March 2011

Kate Bush releases an unusual new album “Director’s Cut” on May 16 on her own label Fish People, in conjunction with EMI.

On “Directors Cut” Kate revisits a selection of tracks from her albums “The Sensual World” and “The Red Shoes”, a process that presents a fascinating portrait of an artist in a constant state of evolution. She has re-recorded some elements whilst keeping the best musical performances of each song – making it something of a director’s cut but in sound, not vision.

A new version of “Deeper Understanding” will be released as a single in April. Although written some twenty years ago, the song may be more relevant today than ever…

Kate is currently working on new material although no release date has been set for this.

“Director’s Cut” will be released in the following formats:

Digital Album, Standard CD in a case-bound book, Deluxe CD (three disc package, including Director’s Cut, The Sensual Word and re-mastered The Red Shoes) in a case-bound book and two-disc vinyl.

Other digital and vinyl formats will be made available on katebush.com. Details will be published shortly.
