Street Angel. I Love Greta, Blue Denim, Destiny, Rose Garden and Jane. 5 songs. The rest does nothing for me.......Don't even get me started on her cover of Just like a Woman
All in all, another Lukewarm album. Guys i'm trying, but I think Stevie has lost me. At least solo Stevie

I think Destiny is the best thing she's done in about twenty-five years. It's a classic.

I agree with everything I said about this back in May - Street Angel, the song, is by far the best track on the album. Lyrics may be slightly cheesy but it's unlike anything we've ever known from her. I do not love any other songs but do think some are fairly good. Blue Denim, Greta, Docklands, and Kick It.

If it wasn't for Just Like A Woman this would be an amazing album in my eyes. There is something missing from every song on the album, I just can't put my finger on it. I listen to it frequently though, more so than TOSOTM or WH. The lyrics are fairly average in terms of quality for Stevie, and that can get in the way of me totally enjoying it sometimes. Overall, it's a nice rock album that was affected by a volatile environment that hindered it's production, but definitely not the junk album people make it out to be.

I do wish there was a little more 'blue' color in it (I love the color blue plus it reminds me of BD there was alot of blue for that LP too. Like the Blue Lamp pictures). I wish as Mike said that we'd get a 'deluxe' package for SA but probably not. Since we can't seem to get 'deluxe' cds for all her previous solo cds from the 80's we probably won't be getting one for SA at all either (or Mac's 80's either which is a crying shame really IMO). SA isn't my favorite but I can listen to it. I'm listen to my Abby Mixes cd right now as I type this up. I do think better choices could've been made but like someone else posted in this thread theres something probably from everyone of Stevie's solo lp's/cds that we all could change or skip etc. It happens no one is perfect. When the brillance does happen for an artist lets appreciate if for what it is. I like some of the lesser known tracks than the singles or the remixes than the offical versions. You hear some of them so much anything 'different' is so nice to hear really. Think about it. I LOVED the SA tour. It was my first time to see Stevie ever SOLO so it'll always hold that special place in my (wild) heart. I loved her outfits. I loved it that she wore her Blue Lamp shawl from BD and the white sparkely shawl for Edge. She talked alot . We had a storm that night here at than Pine Knob, MI (now DTE). She was singing Blue Denim and we only got a shortned version of it which was a bummer to me. I loved it that she sang Rooms On Fire and Talk To Me. She did sing The Chain that night too. It wasn't a song I ever expected to hear. Maybe she did it because of the storm I'm not sure but it was awesome. I do wish there was more merchandise for the tour but only a couple of shirts which is a shame there couldn't have been some nice outtake shirts etc. Or a tour poster. I did get the hard to find tourbook that night though and the picture. I later got the sweatshirt--white with the LP /cd cover picture. I loved it that Rick Vito toured with her as well. It was special so I remember it more for the tour than the acutal LP/cd but it has its place in Stevie history too. At least we do have it could you image if it wasn't released at all.?? It would've been Mirror than Dance than Enchanted than TISL. Thats too long. Its too long now really. Sad but so true.

I think we will someday. Stevie is still able/willing to tour and she is making a new solo album and possibly another Fleetwood Mac album, therefore, she still has some earning potential. She hasn't released anything solo since 2001, but she has filled the past ten years with tours, Crystal Visions, and Soundstage, making some kind of profit every year. I think as Stevie ages and does not want to tour anymore or not making new albums, she will have this stuff stockpiled to release and make some profit off of. And whatever doesn't get released before her death has the possibility of after death releases.

I hope your right. Though I'd prefer it be before her death so that she is involved in it. Not just thrown together you know. Some thoughts have really gone into it. I'd love it to be done up really nicely. For us fans you know.So many possiblies really!!!

Bottom line, if you haven't really listened to the album and only go by popular opinion, give the album a chance...you may be pleasantly surprised!
Was "If You Were My Love" ever an official b-side/bonus track?

Remind me why this look wasn't fully utlized for the sleeve art:

She looks beautiful.
That image would have made a beautiful album cover. I have it as a promo poster, as well as an alternate black and white poster with a different pose. It's one of my favorite Stevie posters.

I can't believe she actually didn't like the peach colored dress in the Everyday video, (I know that's not Street Angel, but Trouble in Shangri-La) , I thought she looked gorgeous in it, and it was definitely something different!

For years I hated her Blue Denim hair. HATED it. I would see it and be like "Ohhh Stevie.... WTF is on your head?!" but as time has passed, I have really grown to love that look.

No, but being on the Master Reels, the sound is perfect.

Good point! But is that white against white or pale pink against pale pink? I agree with you about the clothes in that last picture...hidious...I totally get the embalming reference. Very clever, as always!
