I did and she sounds like Joe Cocker

My favorite is easily No Spoken Word. I do agree that BATB is flawless though.

Oh there is hours and hours of video that we will never see. Not just Stevie but FWM footage as well. I think there was always someone shooting video or taking pictures. Hey, anybody else see "The Promise"? The documentary about Springsteen recording Darkness On The Edge Of Town? Somebody could make one hell of a film about Stevie from Bella Donna in '81 to RAL in '85 using all the video she has stored somewhere.

I had a tape....and may still have it somewhere....of a radio special....the Rock A Little Tour Special it might have been called. Anyway, the whole thing was Waddy talking.....no Stevie at all. Ofcourse now we know she was prob. so messed up she would not have been able to be interviewed but at the time I thought it was really strange that Stevie was not part of a radio special about her tour.

Joe Cocker!

I just tried adjusting the pitch up 1.5 semitones and to my ears it sounds about right. What do your ears think?

That was really cool. I noticed years ago on the video that you can hear the echo of Stevie talking during the intro to Beauty and the Beast but you can't make out what she's saying. It's cool to hear what it was in this recording.

Does anyone have the full original Red Rocks concert? I've looked through the forum but can't find it. Now that I've heard this I'm curious to hear what the rest of the show sounded like to the people who were there.

Thanks for this! There really are hardly any changes to BATB!

actually there is alot of Stevie on the Rock A Little Tour Special...there are only a few short segments of this with Waddy, and one with Curry Grant. The rest is Stevie. But i think most of the clips are taken from other interviews...like Off The Record with Mary Turner.

I think it was posted a long time ago, but I have no idea if I saved it. I'm sure many of us are interested.

^ and ^^
Is this the RAL concert aired on radio nationally where she says in a very animated Valley Girl voice, 'I'm soooooaoo happy that you stayyyed" near the beginning of the concert?! I had that on cassette for years and loved the 'Edge' she did that show- my friend Colleen said 'it sounds like she's being electrocuted!" during the Edge wail in the middle. I'd love to hear that show again, for one.

Stevie herself must have been quite pleased with the vocal of 'BATB' from Red Rocks, it was released on vinyl as a b side in Europe on a 12"single I have for one of 'TOSOTM' releases- the Euro single releases for 'TOSOTM' were much more imaginative than in the US- one of the 12"singles has a gatefold cover with a very good inside pic from the same photo session as that a cover of 'Arizona Woman' that featured SN on the cover. The extended mixes of 'Long Way To Go' and 'Rooms On Fire' were scarce in the US but actual releases in the UK. The live 'Has Anyone Ever Written' is on the b side to one of those songs, don't feel like going downstairs to the Stevie collection to find out.

I have the whole show but I'll have to correct the pitch on the rest of the tracks if you don't want to hear Joe Cocker perform I Can't Wait.
