Ed Murrow is a reknowned journalist, and I believe one of the first TV reporters ? The Ed Murrow award in television is named after him...it's like the Oscar award for journalists. He set very high standards for journalism and gave a speech about it on TV a long time ago. The whole song is a stab at today's media, enough to make Mr. Murrow turn over in his grave.

I have to admit, I AM from the US...and consider myself pretty up on things, too! But if I ever learned of Murrow, it has been forgotten. ;-)
