Default Stevie/Mac References in Books

I am in the process of publishing my autobiography The Price of Silence, which is about how I survived 18 years of child abuse, and it is dedicated to the people who inspired me and helped me survive. Stevie is one of those people, and I talk about her and her music from the front to the back.
My book doesn't come out until December you if anyone wants to read about it feel free to visit my site http://chanelmaire.webnode.com/

This seems appropriate considering the date. In a book called Queering the Popular Pitch, there's an essay about Night of a Thousand Stevies called "Queering the Witch: Stevie Nicks and the Forging of Femininity at the Night of a Thousand Stevies." It's very cerebral, as well as missing some pages, but you can get the general point. There's an interesting analysis of Rhiannon.

Of course, I find it difficult to give it much academic merit when I see the use of Nicks's as the possessive form of Stevie's surname.

In Meg Cabot's book Queen of Babble, one girl designs her own wedding dress (she was basically a rich texas brat marrying a computer programmer from Minnesota, wanted to be "original" with her wedding dress, and it was a mess of lace) and when the main character offers to fix it, she says "I don't care. I just don't want to look like Stevie Nicks on my wedding day."

Later on, after it's fixed the main character describes the dress now as the following: "Instead of looking like something Stevie Nicks might wear, it now resembled something Oksana Baiul might sport at Barbie on Ice."
