Also, 2thosethatilove suggested him and Stevie do an album together and this was his reply.

DaveStewart: @2thosethatilove Good Idea , I will talk about that to her today

Stevie's singing and Dave's playing guitar!!!
From twitter:
@DaveStewart Cool - intimate and pure! I wonder if Ann Marie's beautiful violin would go well with Stevie's voice and your guitar, too?

i honestly don't really want it to be a Dave Stewart AND Stevie Nicks, as if she's using him as a crutch. I want it to be STEVIE NICKS with, on a couple songs, Dave Stewart...

IMO

Agreed! I want new Stevie stuff, so I mean I'd be somewhat okay if it was a Nicks/Stewart album. But I am hoping it kinda turns into what TISL was with Sheryl Crow. Her and Stevie did a lot of work together, but Stevie had songs that did not involve Sheryl and it was a standalone Stevie Nicks solo album. And I'd actually be fine if they did the whole album together just as long as it comes out as a a Stevie Nicks album with her doing vocals and him just playing guitar and doing some producing. But if it came out as a half and half album, I'd be a little let down. If I am going to be forced to sacrifice Stevie songs, it better be for a Fleetwood Mac record!

Doubtful this will happen.

Much more likely.

I'd be one friggin happy man if this is actually a Stevie solo project

Also wouldn'd mind a new duet on there with Dave?

I wonder if the song will be a kind of Dont Come Around Here No More Sequel. That is the image I have in my head when I heard about the collaboration to honest. Only kidding, and I know many don't want to hear this, but any music we get from Stevie or the Mac is a gift, or " gravy " as I like to say. Whatever they decide to do is their right, and when they feel like putting it out is totally up to them as well. We are the avid fans that want everything all the time, but I speak for myself, and I am a little more laid back as far as when or how things should or will be done. It does seem that we do have many things to look forward too. So I take it lite, it only makes it that much sweater when the time comes, for me anyway. Otherwise I would drive myself crazy.

I had another thought - maybe it's for some kind of compilation album with a bunch of different artists and they will ultimately just pick one song. Or maybe it's a Stewart solo album with a song or two with Stevie.

Good point. It's possible that the music they are making may never be released either because they don't want it to be or because of record industry bull **** (i.e. their respective labels can't come to an agreement over contracts, etc).

Idk, Dave Stewart and Kara DioGuardi did Platinum Weird together and were signed under Interscope. Rumours are Stevie's contract is up with Warner Brothers, so there is always the possibility she will join Interscope.

Kinda like fleetwood mac meets the Beatles !"

I can't wait, I can't wait

I have a friend who works at Warner Bros. in PR. Going to call her shortly and see if she has any info...
