If I remember correctly, she was actually wearing a long leather skirt. (Other details evade me now. It's been a long time.)
Great memory- thanks for sharing it with us.

I didn't have it committed to memory, I swear. I checked the nicksfix. Google says there is a bootleg circulating, but it looks like you'll have to ask someone in the Sheryl Crow community.
Thanx for letting me know.
ps. nice photo

I would love to hear Stevie singing "Black Velvet"! That would be awsome!

I was on the old Enchanted email list back when Stevie sang that song live. We had a topic going about which cover song we thought would be great for Stevie to do and I chose Black Velvet. Wasn't long after, we learned she performed it. I was rather shocked. Was it a charity event or some sort of private affair? After all these years and still no tape has surfaced. Probably never will. Doncha just hate that?!

I'm sure this has been done before but we should start a thread on dream songs we'd like Stevie to cover. Do you know if it's been a thread recently? I'd love to hear what everyone thinks. I'm thinkin' Like a Virgin lol.

Couple things come to mind:

1. The batmitzvah a few years ago that featured Aerosmith, Tom Petty, Don Henley and Stevie, among others. I forget what she performed, but I don't think a recording has surfaced.

2. There was a Huggy Bear benefit in Southampton back in 2005 or 2006 where Stevie performed with Roger Waters and Don Henley. Not sure what she sang, but supposedly the three of them performed together on one of Roger's (supposedly Pink Floyd) songs. I seriously doubt this one was recorded.

And then there are also the Rodney Jerkins and Dallas Austin sessions from 1999-2000-ish to consider. My dying wish is to get my hands on these tapes!

Daddy batmitzvah was indicted not too long ago so the Feds probably have those tapes. Now we'll never get to see/hear them.
