Angry Attempted terrorist attack on flight from Amsterdam to Detroit

THEYYYRREEEEE BAAAAAACCCK! And I dont mean in a good way. Seems that on a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit a gentleman from Nigeria who has according to news reports acted on orders from Al-Qaida attempted to light some sort of explosive device as this Northwest/Delta flight was getting ready to land in Detroit after a flight from Amsterdam. I also heard on the news that this individual picked up whatever the hell he tried to blow the plane up with from Yemen. Nice. Also, he wasnt on a no-fly list. SO let me get this straight, The TV news people know where this guy is from, that he got orders from Al-Qaida, and where he got the device from, and yet he still was not on a no fly list and apperently we didnt know who the F**K he was. Most importantly, how in the world was he able to get the device past security?!?!I was on a flight to Europe less than 2 months ago and this really frightened me. It makes you realize these creeps are still out there and they are finding ways around the system. I'm just thankful that on Christmas we didnt have a horrible ending to this story. It will most certainly be interesting to see how this story develops.

He was on a no fly list but that's Amsterdam for you.

You can shoot up heroin on the street and prostitutes are in store windows so I"m sure it was no problem at all for him "beating the system".

I always love hearing your response on these things!!! You're so blunt! It's amazing!

I am just now hearing about this- and it is tragic.....
