Default Classic Album Face-Off 6

So, a couple of months late but onto the next round. Michael Jackson beat Madonna in the last one if you can remember.
This one is two of the biggest rock bands of all time. Again, please say who you voted for and why.

Dark Side of the Moon, definitely. I'm a big Pink Floyd fan.

I like them both, but I had to choose Zeppelin.
Bonham rocks the skins.

This was really difficult!!! I adore Pink Floyd, but it's hard to pick anything over Led Zeppelin. When the Levee Breaks is such an incredible song. As far as overall listen-ability, it totally would depend on one's mood when choosing between these two amazing bands.

Well the thing about Dark Side, is that you really have to listen to it all the way through, but with Led Zeppelin IV you can listen to any song, in any order. But I still had to choose Dark Side, I loveeee Pink Floyd

I can't even vote. This is like choosing a favorite child.

I think that Zeppelin IV is compiled of eights songs that stand exceptionally well on their own while Dark Side of the Moon is an artistic product, and cannot really be viewed as a sum of its parts.

I can't choose! Years ago I would have voted for Pink Floyd,
but the older I get the more I appreciate Led Zep. So I plead
the 5th.

Pink Floyd, no doubt.

Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way...

Led Zeppelin 4 is the only Zeppelin album which ALL the songs are good, IMO. Their albums tended to contain incredible hits and unfathomable misses at the same time lol. Being the Lord Of The Rings fan I am, naturally I looove The Battle Of Evermore. As great as all the songs are though, they just don't really have much to do with each other, and don't make for a great ALBUM. Granted, these are some of the strongest, tightest compositions of their career... but great songs do not necessarily a great album make.

Dark Side Of The Moon is one of the best concept albums of all time. It's also one of the strongest, most innovate albums I've personally ever heard. You just don't get better than this. It was a mountain peak that nobody else has been able to summit... before or since. Even though I've heard it 10 billion times, it somehow still never becomes cliche or dull. It sounds incredibly special and ground breaking every time I listen to it. Us And Them is my personal fav track from this album. It's just so beautiful and dreamy.
