I don't agree with what the day is based on, the idea that animals are bred en mass purely to fill stomachs on this day, and just how decadently it's felt that you ought to "celebrate". But I do agree with the premise that thanks should be given for the lives we lead now, when we could have easily gotten a worse deal in life. And that we should stop and take notice of how lucky we are, and be thankful for what we take for granted and what we waste on a daily basis because we don't appreciate the little things.

So happy Thanksgiving to my American friends, and happy "Stop and Think" day to the rest of the world.
